Early access to Affera platform — powered by Win Sheridan
Because of Win Sheridan's philanthropic support, Inova became an early adopter of Medtronic’s Affera mapping and ablation system, enabling successful ablations in some of the most complex, refractory arrhythmias, cases that previously exhausted other options.
This support positioned Inova as the highest-volume Affera program in the world, now surpassing 1,500 cases completed.
This early access also paved the way for multiple next-generation research invitations (Horizon 360, Sphere-VT, PVC feasibility), all of which build on Affera’s pulsed-field ablation (PFA) foundation.

The Reinsch Pierce Cardiomyopathy Center continues to advance evaluation, diagnostics, and research for cardiomyopathy and heart failure — with donor partnership supporting early diagnostics, risk stratification work, and multidisciplinary care enhancements.
This program, made possible by philanthropic support from Lola C. Reinsch, helps address the need for specialized care for the growing number of patients with cardiomyopathies in our community.
