Investing in the future of cancer care: fellowship programs are the pipeline to top talent
Fellowship training programs play a vital role in shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders by providing hands-on experience, mentorship and specialized training. Your support plays a vital role in fostering new talent, improving patient outcomes and driving advancements in medicine.
Here's a look at what was accomplished in 2024 thanks to your support:
- Launched first Inova Pediatric Psychology Fellowship, helping pediatric cancer patients and their families navigate emotional and behavioral challenges, from pain management to grief as well as parenting support
- The D'Aniello Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship was successfully re-accredited through 2026
- The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs accredited our new Medical Physics Residency program
- The first two fellows graduated from our Croan Hematology Oncology Fellowship Program in June and the program will expand to three fellows per year under the leadership of Raymond Wadlow, MD, Fellowship Program Director
